On February 27, 2025, the Vietnamese health sector celebrated the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day - a long and proud journey with outstanding achievements in protecting and improving people's health. Over the past 7 decades, the Vietnamese health sector has not only made great efforts to fulfill its mission of protecting, caring for, and improving people's health but also affirmed its position in the international arena with proud achievements: a strong grassroots health network with more than 11,000 health stations, covering 99% of communes, wards, and towns nationwide. Nearly 80% of health stations are solidly invested, 92.4% have doctors working, creating an effective foundation for primary health care. At the same time, the health sector has mastered many advanced techniques such as endoscopic surgery, robot application, blood cancer treatment, and stem cell use, bringing the Vietnamese health brand to the international level.

The success of the Vietnamese health sector is also marked by efforts to prevent and control epidemics: eliminating smallpox, polio, neonatal tetanus, controlling dengue fever, viral encephalitis, and effectively preventing emerging diseases such as SARS, H5N1, Ebola. These achievements are a testament to the sense of responsibility and high medical ethics of the medical staff, in accordance with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "AA doctor should care for patients like a loving mother".
ASIF Foundation accompanies Vietnam's healthcare sector
With the mission of improving community health, ASIF Foundation has implemented many meaningful projects in recent times: supporting medical equipment for rural areas, free medical examination and treatment, applying smart technology for better health care. Currently, we are also implementing a project to accompany dialysis patients with a comprehensive care model, improve the capacity of doctors and nurses and strengthen the capacity of grassroots health stations. These efforts are aimed at a common goal: bringing healthy, long and fair lives to all Vietnamese people, especially the disadvantaged.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day, ASIF Foundation would like to express our deep gratitude to the medical staff - the silent heroes who have tirelessly devoted themselves to the health of the people. We also thank our partners Le Van Thinh Hospital, the Center for Healthcare Innovation Research (CHIR), and local health agencies who have accompanied ASIF Foundation in building and implementing health projects, aiming to bring about a sustainable future where everyone enjoys quality and equitable health services.
