In early 2021, we had the opportunity to go to Kon Tum and Gia Lai to evaluate the efficiency of wells drilled in the Well project. This is also a survey trip for our upcoming project - a project that we have been cherishing for a long time.
We went to U village, Kong Htok commune, Chu Se district, Gia Lai. Along the way, we saw children under 10 years old carrying baskets filled with small water bottles. In the front was her mother with a larger bag in her back. They had just returned from a field to collect water. That was the water flowing down from mountains, passing through fields full of fertilizers and pesticides.
This is a familiar daily image in the highlands where clean water is scarce and people do not have tools to collect water. They have to use disposable plastic bottles, put them in bags on their backs, walk on dangerous roads to get water every single day.
These images have made ASIF members deeply ponderous for 2 years so far.
In 2020, we launched the Well project in Kon Tum and Gia Lai to bring clean water to people, meeting their basic daily needs.
Not stopping there, on the second quarter of 2021, we implemented the Gui project to donate tools for fetching water to people in the Central Highlands.
Detailed project activities in Gia Lai and Kon Tum will be informed by ASIF on our facebook page and website. The benefactors who are interested in the project and wish to contribute can directly contact the page or email contact@asif.foundation.
