In recent days, Typhoon Yagi has made landfall and severely devastated the northern provinces of Vietnam, leaving behind serious consequences for people and property. The storm's circulation caused serious flooding, flash floods and landslides in the mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Son La, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang... disrupting traffic and isolating many residential areas. The loss of life and property is increasing, causing much pain to the people of Vietnam.

With the spirit of mutual love, all Vietnamese people's hearts are turned to the North through practical actions such as donations, emergency support with finance, materials, expertise, strength, etc. Now, the impact of the storm is gradually fading away, but its consequences are still very severe and require more time and strength to recover.
ASIF Foundation and VASEA's "Love to Love" fundraising campaign
In order to share the pain and hardship with our people, the Association of Vietnamese Intellectuals and Professionals in Australia (VASEA) in collaboration with ASIF Foundation - the International Charitable Fund of Vietnamese People launched the donation campaign "Love to Love" - Accompanying and supporting our people in their recovery journey after the storm and flood. From today until September 20, 2024, you can double the impact by supporting the campaign at: https://givenow.com.au/yagi-typhoon-fund-relief
For every $1 donated, ASIF Foundation will contribute an additional $1 to this campaign up to a limit of $50,000.
Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible in Australia.
All donations from the community and ASIF Foundation will be sent directly to the Tam Long Viet Fund to support flood victims of Vietnam Television (VTV), and will be notified to the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese for supervision and management.
Typhoon Yagi is not only a harsh challenge of natural disaster, but also a call for the spirit of love and sharing from the community. Therefore, we call on VASEA members, the Vietnamese community in Australia, and philanthropists to join hands to support the emergency relief fund “Double Love”, so that we can promptly help our compatriots in the most severely affected areas.
