On August 11, 2026, ASIF Foundation, together with Thảo Đàn Social Enterprise and the Community Connection Center of the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City (UEF), held the launch and handover ceremony for Unified Platform (UP) — a technology platform built to help social organizations manage data, coordinate resources, run projects, and track impact more professionally, transparently, and effectively.
The event marks a milestone in ASIF Foundation's digital-transformation strategy for social organizations, and opens the pilot phase of UP within the "Empowering You" project run by Thảo Đàn Social Enterprise.
Digital transformation — a growing need for social organizations
The scale of community programs keeps expanding. A single project can involve hundreds of beneficiaries, multiple funding sources, multiple implementing partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders at once. For a social organization, the challenge is no longer just having enough resources — it's knowing how to manage and use those resources effectively.
Beneficiary data needs to be managed systematically. Activities need to be tracked from start to finish. Resources need to reach the right people. Donors need clear, reliable information. And, most importantly, an organization needs the ability to look back at its results and understand the real impact of a program. What is Unified Platform (UP)?
Unified Platform (UP) is a technology platform researched and developed by ASIF Foundation together with ARITO Solution, built to serve the governance needs of social organizations. Instead of relying on scattered, disconnected tools for each activity, UP connects data groups and management processes on a single, unified platform.
The platform is designed to support organizations across a wide range of activities — from project management, beneficiary management, and resource management to finance, HR, and results tracking. In doing so, this kind of governance software for social organizations becomes more than just a place to store information — it becomes a tool that helps an organization run and make decisions.
- Centralized data management: Information about projects, beneficiaries, and activities is managed systematically, reducing the problem of data scattered across many different sources.

On August 11, 2026, Thảo Đàn Social Enterprise, together with the University of Economics and Finance Ho Chi Minh City (UEF), held the software launch and handover ceremony as part of the "Empowering You" project.
At the event, Unified Platform was formally introduced to organizations, social enterprises, universities, and individuals working in the social work field.
As the project's and program's principal sponsor, ASIF Foundation has been involved from research and development all the way through to putting the platform into real-world use.
Deploying the software within a project that is already up and running matters a great deal. The experience gained from actual use will help all parties keep identifying which features need improvement, which processes need adjusting, and how to refine the platform to better meet the needs of social organizations.
In other words, August 11 is not the end point of UP's development — it is the beginning of a new phase, one in which the technology is tested and proven in practice.
Connecting experts, universities, and the social sector ecosystem
One of the highlights of the event was a discussion session on the role of technology in social work, moderated by Ms. Phạm Kiều Oanh — Founder and Director of the Center for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP).
The discussion included input from representatives of:

The participation of social work experts and representatives from training institutions broadened the conversation on how technology can be applied in the social sector. The discussion also helped clarify directions for further improving UP so that it better fits the needs of its users and the real-world operations of social organizations in Vietnam.
This shows that digital transformation for social organizations cannot be a story about technology alone. It needs to be a process that connects technology, social work expertise, education, governance, and the real needs of communities.
