With limited resources, how can social impact organisations save time, work more effectively, and share their stories with a wider audience?
Inspired by this question, on 16 September, ASIF Foundation partnered with Project Pluto and Canva Vietnam to deliver the free online training session, "Harnessing AI and Canva Magic Studio", as part of the Canva Academy for SMEs community programme.
The session brought together more than 60 participants from nonprofit organisations, social enterprises, hospitals, businesses, and community initiatives. They represented a wide range of roles—from directors and managers to social workers, nurses, doctors, journalists, designers, and volunteers.
Despite coming from different sectors and regions across Vietnam—from Hanoi to the southernmost province of Ca Mau—they shared one common goal: to use technology to better serve their communities.
With the dedicated guidance of Dũng Phan, Master Trainer at Canva Academy for SMEs, participants gained hands-on experience using AI and Canva Magic Studio to create presentations, posters, documents, emails, websites, and other communications materials.
Through each practical exercise, technology became more accessible—opening up new ways of working, easing workloads, and helping teams communicate their messages more effectively.

We believe that strengthening the capacity of social impact organisations does not always have to begin with something ambitious. Sometimes, it starts by helping one person feel more confident using a new tool, enabling a team to discover a more effective way of working, or empowering an organisation to share its values and impact more widely.
